Nieuwe technologieën maken steeds meer gebruik van deze RF-toepassingen. Dit vraagt om een fabricage volgens hoge kwaliteitsnormen. De keuze van de juiste RF-materialen, afhankelijk van de toepassing is het meest kritische van een RF PCB. Belangrijk is dat men de eigenschappen goed kent van de verschillende materialen. Een RF PCB maakt meestal gebruik van gecontroleerde impedantie.
